Chepstow Town Council commissioned RenewEV to investigate a high-level analysis of Chepstow’s domestic and commercial electricity and heat consumption to build a picture of how they could achieve their target of Net Zero Carbon 2050. Using publicly available data such as energy performance certificates (EPCs) and the UK Census, RenewEV were able to estimate the renewable energy provision required to attain the council’s goal. The study then outlined feasible locations for solar PV, wind and tidal energy installations as well as highlighting residential areas which may need additional financial support to upgrade their insufficiently insulated buildings. With the recent release of the 2021 Census data and our growing expertise, there is no better time to gain a valuable insight into how your local area can set out a practical strategy to achieve Net Zero.
