John Rawlins

Operations Director

John completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol, reading Aeronautical Engineering, where he was awarded1st Prize in a cross-discipline renewable energy project by the Royal Academy of Engineering. Instead of pursuing a career in engineering, he was drawn to London, where he worked for a variety of well known companies, including Haymarket Publishing, Nestle, and Virgin, where he completed his training as a Chartered Management Accountant.

Whilst at Virgin, he began pursuing broader roles outside of finance; from Marketing to Strategy which was complemented with his completion of an Executive MBA at the University of Bath. On becoming a father in 2011, John reflected on the need to pursue a more purposeful career, that could leverage the skills he had accumulated in a way that would better contribute to society. This brought John back to his roots as an aeronautical engineer, and the support for renewable energy.

Having recently spent two years as the Chief of Staff to the CEO of a FTSE 250 energy retailer, John saw the opportunity to partner with Alex and support organisations across the South West of England to build a path towards a Net Zero future.
